ABOUT US
The Western District Caravan Club was formed in 1992 after an inaugural gathering at Halls Gap in Victoria. The club was incorporated in 1993 and also became affiliated with the National Caravan Association.
Since the Club's inception it has had members across the region stretching from South Australia through to Melbourne. The membership totals approximately 55 vans and motor homes with the option of members no longer wishing to tow a van to utilise park cabins.
Weekend rallies are held every six weeks with members arriving on Friday afternoon and leaving on Sunday. On the Friday evening we have a shared meal where everyone brings a sweet and/or main meal to share and enjoy.
We normally have a planned meal at a local venue on Saturday evening where we socialise and have a drink or two. Happy hour begins at 4:30pm each day with members bringing a chair, drink, nibbles to eat and shared conversation.
As part of the rallies, the club often organisers a tag along to various points of interest in the local area being visited.
The club also organises longer rallies or safaris, which may be as short as ten days or up to six weeks in duration. The safaris may involve travelling interstate to see distant places, or just touring our own beautiful state.
