ABOUT US
The Western District Caravan Club was formed in 1992 after an inaugural gathering at Halls Gap in Victoria. The club was incorporated in 1993 and also became affiliated with the National Caravan Association.
Since the Club's inception it has had members across the region stretching from South Australia through to Melbourne. The membership totals approximately 45 vans and motor homes with the option of members no longer wishing to tow a van to utilise park cabins.
Anybody interested in joining our club are welcome to attend 1 or 2 rallies prior to committing to becoming a member. For further information please contact Janet (President) or Noel (Secretary).
More detailed information in relation to upcoming rallies may be obtained from our rally organisers Barbara Borgas 0434831759 or Glenice McDonald 0458503514
Seven day rallies are held approximately bi-monthy with the option of members staying anything from 2/3 nights or for the week. On the Friday evening we have a BYO Bar-B-Que.
We normally have a planned meal at a local venue on Saturday evening where we socialise and have a drink or two. Happy hour begins at 4:30pm each day with members bringing a chair, drink, nibbles to eat and shared conversation.
As part of the rallies, the club often organisers a tag along to various points of interest in the local area being visited.
The club also organises longer rallies or safaris, which may be as short as ten days or up to six weeks in duration. The safaris may involve travelling interstate to see distant places, or just touring our own beautiful state.
The club has a covered in trailer containing a 12m x 8m and a 8m x 6m marqee, BBQ's, tables and kitchen utensils which can be used at rallies if required.
Club members are kept up to date with a newletter published usually prior to each rally, which will be emailed to their supplied email address.
